Slán agaibh

I suppose this is my final blog entry. This has been an incredible four months. I tried to put pen to paper in order to collect thoughts about the past four months today and it was a little bit overwhelming because there is so much to say.
The world's biggest understatement would be that it has been "a great learning experience".
I could elaborate, but I've done enough of that in my journal and I'm not sure how interesting that would be for anyone but me, but thank you to everyone who has been interested in my trip here in Ballyvaughan. This blog started only because I had so many people excited for me and interested in what I would be doing, and that's the only reason I kept it going, and I'm glad I did!  The next couple of weeks entail Florence, Barcelona, and then back "home" to Ireland to travel for eight days before I make my trek back to Detroit. Love you all. God Bless. :)

Last Day in Ballyvaughan.

Today is the last day I can call Ballyvaughan my home. I woke up and went to church, then to the craft fare in town where I met a really nice American woman to has lived in the Burren for the last 10 years with her husband and encouraged me to follow in her footsteps when she saw how much I love it here. I met Deborah there. Deborah came from her house riding a bike while holding onto another bike she brought for me so I wouldn't have to walk back to her house?! This is why I love her. She rode...2 bikes into town basically. Anyway, we went to her house and had lunch, and her granddaughter came over, so I took some pictures of the two of them and walked to the Bird Hide to mope for  a bit. Another beautiful day, just a bit sad!

Deborah having more fun than her granddaughter. haha!

This is my friend Deborah from BCA. She is hard to describe but she is a wonderful person. I love her so much and will miss her everyday.

Last Irish Studies Trip.

A few Fridays ago we had our last Irish Studies Trip with Gordon. We had so many awesome and BEAUTIFUL memories in this class. Our last class was particularly memorable. We got dropped off near the middle a mountain and went on a really long hike all day, got caught in the rain, dried off as it quickly turned to sunshine, got icecream from dairy farm as it began to hail, and then pour, and then continued our hike soaking wet as the sun came out (again) and dried up all the rain. It was so much fun and it was gorgeous.
