Church Ruins Day.

really pretty walls

These are from a while back, another Irish Studies Trip to different church sites in Co. Clare. Most of them are ruins now, but they were very old, and very beautiful places to be buried. The placement of the churches and grave sites were thoughtfully placed with the peacefulness of the location in mind.

the globes are a common thing to put on a grave here

Daffodils.

I love flowers and they are popping up all over Ballyvaughan so I've been picking them and bringing them home a lot lately. My house mates are entertained by watching me put them together. I can often be seen heading out with sharp knives and/or scissors and coming back in with handfulls of odds and ends. These are only a selection of the creations I've been making for fun. It's very relaxing and it makes our house look so pretty. My room is full of flowers and it smells lovely.

I worked at a Flower Shop as my first job,  throughout high school so I guess I learned a thing or two.

I am an OLD WOMAN!

Bird Hide.

This is a place called the Bird Hide where I like to go often. It's about a 12 minute walk from my house. It's a hill that is hidden at the end of a path through some trees and it sits right above the ocean, in between the mountain and the pier. It's beautiful and really peaceful so I usually make my way over there when I want to get out of the house but stay relatively close to home.

The Fishing Pier

I climbed down and  found awesome shells here after the tide went out.

House across the road from the Pier.

sheep movie!

Then I walked to "Brid's House" which is where some of my close girlfriends live to say hi to them on my walk back home. These bulls live across the road from them.

Love from Michigan.

              your package in Ireland! :)

Saturday when I got back home from a shopping trip to Gort I received a St. Patrick's Day package from Mike and Jen. It absolutely made my day. Mrs. Lenhart also snuck some goodies into the package and her confetti shamrocks are not all over my room, and I like it. Lots of beautiful pictures of the cutest baby in the world, my nephew Collin, and just pieces of home that made me feel so good. Thanks again Mike and Jen :) Love you so much.

so adorable! miss you all so much!

Lady Gregory

This spot was the location of where Lady Gregory
lived. Her house isn't there anymore but we had so much fun running around the forest behind where her house would have been. We found a spot at a turlough where Gordan read more poetry and we played near the water. This was my favorite day of Irish Studies by far.

so happy!
